Tervita Corporation Announces Executive Changes
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/15 -- Tervita Corporation, a leading environmental solutions provider, announced the following changes to their executive structure today.
Chris Synek, former Chief Operating Officer has been appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer effective today. Mr. Synek replaces CEO John W. Gibson Jr. who has been appointed to the company''s Board of Directors. John has agreed to continue working on strategic matters critical to the company''s long-term success.
"Today we executed on our executive succession plan and I have great confidence in Chris'' abilities to lead the company through the downturn in the energy marketplace," said Gibson. "As COO he led our operations in meeting safety goals and EBITDA targets, and has consistently driven cost out of our operations and increased the efficiencies across our lines of business. I look forward to working with him as I transition to a new role on our Board."
Mr. Synek joined Tervita in January of 2014 from a major environmental services company of more than 30,000 employees where he operated as the Executive Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. He has more than 25 years of experience in senior operating and commercial roles.
