The hybrid bicycle is a new form of personal mobility that seamlessly combines a rider''s pedaling power with a compact, electrical motor to enable riders to go farther and faster than traditional bicycles. Tempo hybrid bicycles use software control and sensors to measure the speed and a rider''s effort to determine how much assistance the zero-emissions motor provides based on riding conditions such as hills and head wind. By simply pressing a button, a rider can select the level of assistance the motor will provide.
