Government of Canada supports the Salon du livre d'Edmundston

(firmenpresse) - EDMUNDSTON, NEW BRUNSWICK -- (Marketwired) -- 04/16/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Bernard Valcourt, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development and Member of Parliament (Madawaska-Restigouche), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced that the Salon du livre d''Edmundston is receiving funding of $41,000 through the Canada Book Fund and the Development of Official-Language Communities Program.

This investment from the Government of Canada will help the Salon du livre d''Edmundston promote and increase the visibility of Canadian-authored French-language books. The Salon is an important opportunity to boost sales for these books and give readers from official-language minority communities better access to a wide range of Canadian titles.
