The report provides historical data up to 2013, and demonstrates the sector''s continued strong contribution to the Canadian economy.

The Canadian agriculture and agri-food system is a complex and integrated supply chain that includes input and service suppliers, primary producers, food and beverage processors, food retailers and wholesalers and foodservice providers.
An Overview of the Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food System 2015 is a multi-purpose reference document that presents the agriculture and agri-food system in the context of the Canadian economy and international markets. It provides a snapshot of the composition and performance of the agriculture and agri-food system as it evolves in response to challenges, opportunities and market developments.
AAFC also recently released the 2015 Canadian Agricultural Outlook, which is now supported by two additional documents. The Farm Income, Financial Conditions and Government Assistance Data Book, 2014, released today, provide easy access to key economic and financial indicators for the farm sector and information on government assistance to the agriculture and agri-food industry. And the Technical Addendum: Medium Term Data Tables for the Canadian Agricultural Outlook provides additional data in relation to the Canadian Agricultural Outlook, covering 2014 - 2024.
Together, these reports provide a comprehensive historical profile of the sector, as well as a financial and market outlook for producers, industry and stakeholders, and governments as they plan for the years ahead.
