Panera Bread Puzzle Piece Cookies to Be Sold April 13-19 With 100% of the Proceeds Benefitting the Cause
(firmenpresse) - COLUMBUS, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 04/09/15 -- In keeping with its long standing commitment of giving back to the community, Covelli Enterprises, the Ohio-based franchisee of Panera Bread, is partnering again with Autism Speaks of Central Ohio during Autism Awareness month to raise money for research, awareness and advocacy programs.
Starting Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19, 100% of the proceeds from all ''Pieces of Hope'' cookie sales will be donated to Autism Speaks. The ''Pieces of Hope'' puzzle piece cookie has been specially designed to represent the symbol for autism and will be sold in all cafes in the Columbus/Central Ohio region.
Last year''s ''Pieces of Hope'' cookie campaign resulted in a $38,000 donation to Autism Speaks of Central Ohio. The campaign has raised more than $150,000 locally since it began in 2011.
"At Autism Speaks, our mission is to improve the lives of those living with autism spectrum disorders. Because of the donations and public awareness that Covelli Enterprises/Panera Bread graciously brings to our organization, we are steps closer to our goal," said Sheri Weithman, Columbus Field Director for Autism Speaks.

Throughout the month of April, Panera Bread will also be collecting community cashbox donations at the registers of all of its local cafés to raise additional funds for the cause.
