Healthwise to Feature Speaker Series on Groundbreaking Trends and Experiences at HIMSS15
(firmenpresse) - BOISE, ID -- (Marketwired) -- 04/09/15 -- In 1975, a small health care nonprofit with a mission to help people make better health decisions took its first foray into innovation by doing something simple: looking to patients to help guide care. 40 years later, Healthwise will bring its patient focus, technical expertise and extensive experience working with clinicians to HIMSS15 in Chicago.
This year, Healthwise will feature quotable experiences from health care leaders on topics ranging from standardizing patient education across an organization, to how to successfully implement shared decision making, to patient participation leading to improved outcomes.
"This year, we''re especially excited about our special in-booth speaker series," said Jim Giuffré, Healthwise president and chief operating officer. "It features stories from our partners, clients and thought leaders from Healthwise covering groundbreaking trends health care organizations can put into practice now to achieve better outcomes."
Healthwise experts will also be on hand at the Healthwise Interoperability Showcase to demonstrate how standards such as API, the HL7 Infobutton and FHIR support patient engagement and bolster reimbursement programs. Healthwise tools and content can also be found throughout the HIMSS exhibition hall at the booths of partner organizations, where health care hot topics such as EHR, care management and population health will be featured.
