(firmenpresse) - ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/07/15 -- Gulfcoast Eye Care, a practice, is announcing its acquisition of Florida Eye Center in St. Petersburg. Dr. Michael Manning, the head of Gulfcoast Eye Care, says nearly all of the same treatments currently offered at its locations in Palm Harbor and Pinellas Park will be available at its new location, including , cataract surgery, and treatments for common . Dr. Manning says the new location will also offer services such as retina subspecialty care.
Florida Eye Center was established in 1991 by Mark Sibley, MD, FACS and has served as the team eye doctor for the Tampa Bay Rays for nearly two decades. The practice has offered a range of medical and surgical eye care services in multiple specialties. Dr. Sibley will continue with the practice under its new ownership, along with Jason Handza, DO, Nora Lee Cothran, OD, and of Gulfcoast. Dr. Manning says Florida Eye Center has a great history of offering patients high-quality eye care and optical services to patients in the St. Petersburg area.
Dr. Manning notes that will allow his practice to offer greater convenience to its patients throughout Pinellas County. Gulfcoast was originally established in 1980 by Dr. Lyda D. Tymiak and will continue its operations at its other existing locations.
Gulfcoast Eye Care''s new office is at 1515 9th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL, the former home of Florida Eye Center. Dr. Manning says the location is now open and ready for patients.
