MEDIA ADVISORY: Province-Wide Media Teleconference to Launch "CODE RED" Report on Hospital Cuts

The Ontario Health Coalition (OHC) will be hosting a province-wide media teleconference to release a "CODE RED" report on hospital cuts. The report tracks hospital cuts across Ontario for the last three years and includes an interactive map showing Ontario''s hospitals that are facing significant cuts or at risk of being closed down. The report also shows that cuts are escalating year after year, services are being lost, patient care staffing is declining to unprecedented lows, and many hospitals are running at levels of overcrowding that are unsafe.
The report contains the latest figures comparing Ontario''s funding levels to the rest of the country.
The Ontario Health Coalition is releasing "Code Red" as a wake-up call to policy leaders to restore needed services and stop the cuts.
