"Canada''s reputation as one of the best places in the world to live, work and invest continues to attract visitors from across the globe. The government recognizes that tourism is a significant growth driver for our country, and we will continue to work with industry and other levels of government to support an internationally competitive sector."

"British Columbia is a world-class destination for international visitors with 4.7 million people visiting our province in 2014. That''s nearly a quarter of a million more people who came to B.C. in 2014 compared to 2013.
