Vecima Adds New Board Member

("Vecima" or "the Company") (TSX: VCM) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Scott Edmonds as a new director to the Company''s board effective today. Scott''s 30 year career has been a unique blend of operational, strategic and financial leadership roles in both large and small companies in Canada, Europe and Asia. Most recently Scott led the turnaround of Webtech Wireless into a supplier of software as a service solution to fleet managers across North America. For his efforts, in 2014 he was recognized as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award (Pacific Region) in the B2B (business-to-business) category.
Prior to Webtech Wireless, Scott held CFO roles in two other Vancouver area software companies as well as 10 years with The Walt Disney Company in France, Indonesia and Singapore. Scott has also served on a variety of public and private company boards of directors over the past ten years. As a board member, Scott has acted as audit committee chair as well as governance and compensation committee chair. Scott holds a degree in finance and is a Chartered Accountant. Scott has also completed the Executive Development Program at The Kellogg School and was recently awarded the ICD.D designation.
