Nordeon GmbH: LED lightline system BALDUR wins "reddot award 2015"
(PresseBox) - With its outstanding and innovative design Nordeons LED lightline system Baldur convinces in one of the most prestigious international design competitions - the "red dot".
Within the category "product design" a top-class jury of design experts award the lightline system Baldur in combination with the LED Spots Skadi for high design quality.
Overall, 4,928 products from 56 countries have been presented to a panel of design experts. They examine and test the products and assess them according to criterias such as degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality and environmental compatibility. The award ceremony will take place on June 29th, 2015 in the Aalto Theatre, Essen.
Innovative combination of attractive design and high flexibility
As the inventors of the lightline system, with more than 40 years'' experience, and with the insights from design agency VanBerlo, we''ve created an unbeatable third generation lightline system, specially designed for LED. Baldur with Skadi is number one in adaptability, and provides the best light for every application. The cross-sectional area is only 25% compared to a conventional lightline system. Thanks to a consistent stylish design with minimized dimensions Skadi spots match perfectly with the Baldur system.
The special feature of the system is that the LED driver remain hidden inside the rail and the design retains its elegant appearance.
Nordeon is a young, innovative European manufacturer of LED luminaires and lamps with over 60 years of experience. Nordeon was founded in October 2012 with the acquisition of the Philips development and manufacturing facility in Springe, Germany and expanded in December 2012 and November 2013 by the acquisition of the Philips production sites in Chalon sur Saône and Dijon, France.
