(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/30/15 -- West Fraser (TSX: WFT) today announced the appointment of James Gorman as Vice-President, Corporate and Government Relations effective May 19, 2015. Mr. Gorman will join West Fraser after having served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Council of Forest Industries since 2013. Prior to joining COFI, Mr. Gorman served in a number of senior leadership roles with the Government of British Columbia.
West Fraser is an integrated wood products company producing lumber, wood chips, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp and newsprint. The Company has operations in western Canada and the southern United States.
West Fraser shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol: "WFT".
