Leading Heavy Oil Event Welcomed 1,700 Energy Leaders to the City of Edmonton
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/30/15 -- World Heavy Oil Congress, the world''s largest gathering of heavy oil professionals, has come to a close after welcoming 1,700 registered attendees to the Shaw Conference Centre from March 24 - 26. Over the three days, local and international delegates participated in networking events, industry presentations and world-class exhibits.
Since its inception in 2006, the Congress has been one of the most significant and well-recognized energy gatherings in the world. This year, the Congress welcomed a number of notable guests including Alberta Premier Jim Prentice; Honourable Frank Oberle, Minister of Energy; Mayor Don Iveson, City of Edmonton; and Mark Little, Congress Chairman and Executive Vice President, Upstream, Suncor.
