FullContact Closes $10MM Funding Round, Joined by Baird Capital
(firmenpresse) - DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/25/15 -- FullContact has announced today that it has closed its latest funding round of $10MM, bringing the total equity investment in the company to nearly $20MM. The round was led by Foundry Group and Baird Capital, with participation from Blue Note Ventures and 500 Startups.
As part of the funding, Baird''s Benedict Rocchio will be joining the board of FullContact. The news of the investment comes on the heels of the company''s first major updates to both its iOS and Gmail-based applications, which help FullContact users to get more from their address books on mobile, on the web and inside of their existing email accounts.
FullContact for iOS version 4.1 brings about contact merging features that allow users to combine low-confidence contacts into a single listing, and select which fields are merged. FullContact for Gmail version 1.1 added a number of updates as well:
Faster and smoother loading
Support for Google Calendar and Google Contacts
Favorites sync
Auto-saving of interface customizations
The company intends to continue developing applications for more devices, with upcoming releases of FullContact for Mac and FullContact for Android.
