seebaWIND Service breaks sales record and reaches 1 gigawatt limit
Osnabruck, 23 March 2015. seebaWIND Service GmbH has increased its sales in the fiscal year 2014 from 10 to more than 12 million euros. In addition, the manufacturer-independent service provider for wind power plants now employs 75 people. Thus, seebaWIND was able to surpass its forecasts from the beginning of 2014. They included a growth in turnover and employees of up to 20 percent each. Thanks to its sales record, seebaWIND is now one of the five most successful manufacturer-independent service providers in Germany.
(firmenpresse) - To meet the growing demand from European countries, seebaWIND plans to expand its business in Poland and France this year. For in 2015, the service provider is expected to complete its first Premiumplus full maintenance contracts in the two neighbouring countries. In addition to maintenance, remote monitoring and site optimisation, the contracts also include the provision of large components and proactive maintenance with the intelligent software WINTELL®.
In 2015 seebaWIND plans to increase sales even further. “Due to the high demand we shall be able to continue the positive development of the last years. That makes us feel positive and we expect to achieve sales of up to 15 million euros in each of the next two years”, explains seebaWIND managing director Severin Mielimonka. This increase of turnover could help seebaWIND to obtain a place among the top three manufacturer-independent service providers in Germany.
New types of plants under contract
In April seebaWIND will reach the 1-gigawatt mark for the wind turbines it manages at home and abroad. For the MD-series plants formerly built by Nordex, Fuhrländer and REpower, seebaWIND is already the market leader among the manufacturer-independent service providers in Germany. Since 2009, the company has been servicing the MD70/MD77 and MM82 series wind turbines built by Senvion (formerly REpower).
“The Senvion MM92 is based on the MD series and MM82. We can therefore make an excellent transition of our expertise to this 2-megawatt plant”, says seebaWIND managing director Severin Mielimonka. seebaWIND already completed the first maintenance contract for a wind farm with MM92 systems in January, a second will follow in mid-year. At the same time, the company is preparing its service for the 3.XM series of Senvion with power ratings from 3 to 3.4 megawatts.
