(firmenpresse) - MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/18/15 -- In an age where printed media such as newspapers, magazines, and even novels have seen a decline in popularity due to their virtual online counterparts, a notable exception is that of greeting cards. The booming industry generates more than $7 billion annually in the U.S. alone, a fact that did not go by unnoticed by , an internationally acclaimed entrepreneur based in Florida, who is poised to bring his business know-how to the greeting card game.

Always on the lookout for innovative ideas and opportunities, Argall could not ignore the potential hidden in the greeting card industry. "I am a technology fan and write and read hundreds of emails a day," Argall admits. "But certain occasions ask for a more thoughtful means of communication, be it a friendly Thank You note after a party or a colorful birthday card, some things just look better on paper." And apparently Argall does not stand not alone with his opinion: Americans purchase about 6.5 billion greeting cards each year, resulting in retail sales between $7 and $8 billion. 70% of card buyers describe greeting cards as ''essential'' to them, and twice as many expect their card purchases to increase in the following year.

"The traditional value of the greeting card is complemented by its versatility, a result of the countless occasions, life events, and holidays and situations for which greeting cards are bought," explains Matt Argall. Birthday, Sympathy, Thank You, Wedding, Thinking of You, Get Well, New Baby, and Congratulations cards are just some examples, all trumped by Christmas cards, which are by far and away the most popular seasonal cards, moving an astounding 1.6 billion units. Valentine''s Day, Mother''s Day, Father''s Day, Graduation, Easter, Halloween, and Thanksgiving each sell hundreds of millions of cards, and even less widespread holidays like St. Patrick''s Day achieve sales of up to 7 million cards.

Ranging from just 50 cents to about $10, the cost of a typical greeting card averages between $2 and $4. This not only means that anyone can afford one, but also that a greeting card can either be a budget or a luxury purchase -- an especially welcome option that greatly increases the buyer demographic. "Without a doubt, there''s a lot of promise in the greeting card industry," Argall shared. "With the business approach I''ll be bringing to the table along with some added product value, I''m looking forward to creating a long and successful venture."

is an established businessman and entrepreneur who started his career at age 17, taking the marketing helm at an online wholesale product company where he helped innovate the selling and direct shipping of products to customers through online auctions. Many successes followed in a variety of industries, including student loan debt consolidation, low-cost long-distance calls, and call centers serving the gas and electricity industry. Currently, Argall is looking into a number of new investments, most notably in the water filtration industry and the music business. A passionate philanthropist at heart, Argall is actively involved in a number of local charity programs and has made considerable donations to international non-profit organizations over the years.
