Statement by Minister Glover on the Jutra Awards
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/15/15 -- Quebec cinema had a spectacular year that saw many of our artists honoured on the world stage. The Jutra Awards allow us to pay tribute to the artists and artisans who put their heart and soul into their projects. These awards confirm what we already know: Quebec cinema is a source of pride for all of Canada.
Our Government supports the audiovisual sector with an annual investment of more than $660 million through Telefilm Canada, the National Film Board and the Canada Media Fund, as well as tax credit programs.
On behalf of the government of Canada, I congratulate all the nominees and winners of the 2015 Jutra Awards. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Quebec Cinema for its ongoing efforts to showcase our artists.
