The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced that young Canadians across the country now have until April 2 to enter the 2015 Canada Day Challenge.
The Canada Day Challenge is a nationwide contest that invites young Canadians to explore Canada''s history, culture and identity and to discover what makes our country so great. In order to allow more young people to take part in the Challenge, the new deadline to submit entries is now April 2, 2015.

- Young Canadians aged 8 to 18 are invited to take part in the Canada Day Challenge.
- This year''s theme is "Strong. Proud. Free."
- , when our country will celebrate its 150th anniversary, young Canadians are invited to present projects that deal with Canada''s history, culture and identity, and illustrate important milestones that have made our country what it is today.
- The nine finalists will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Ottawa for two (the finalist and a parent or legal guardian) to take part in Canada Day activities.
- The nine finalists will also have the opportunity to work with a team from the National Film Board, who will guide them in the production of an individual short feature on their adventure in the National Capital Region.
