Member of Parliament Ryan Leef announces support for the Yukon Arts Centre

(firmenpresse) - WHITEHORSE, YUKON -- (Marketwired) -- 03/05/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada will provide the Yukon Arts Centre with funding of $190,000 over two years ($95,000 in 2015-2016 and $95,000 in 2016-2017) through the to support its 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 performing arts seasons. Ryan Leef, Member of Parliament (Yukon), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Yukon Arts Centre is the territory''s premier venue for performing and visual arts. In each of its upcoming seasons, the Centre will present an array of artists in various genres, including dance, humour, theatre and music. The Centre will also offer outreach activities that include free concerts, workshops, artists'' talks, and matinee performances for school children and families.
