The Profoto B2 is a lighter, more portable counterpart to the recent Profoto B1. The B2 consists of a battery pack and a head. Photographers can carry the battery pack on the shoulder or hip using the convenient carrying bag, while the head is small and light enough to be mounted onto a monopod or a bracket on the camera. When being mobile isn''t necessary, both the pack and head can be put on a stand and the B2 can be wirelessly controlled from the camera -- this makes B2 the world''s first off-camera flash that can be used both on- and off-camera.
The Profoto B2 has all the benefits that made Profoto''s B1 an outstanding success including TTL and high-speed sync (HSS). It can keep up with the speed of any DSLR camera and is five times as powerful as the average speedlight, while still the same size and weight as one.
The B2 can be used with Profoto''s whole system of Light Shaping tools and with the new, entire range of Profoto OCF Light Shaping Tools, a smaller and more lightweight system than the original line. OCF Light Shaping Tools consist of fewer parts and use smart, patent-pending solutions that make them fast and easy to mount and use. The assortment includes a new Grid Kit, a new Snoot and a new Barndoor; four new Softboxes are available in 2-ft. Octa, 1x3-ft. Square, 2x3-ft. Rectangle and 1x3-ft. Rim Light.
Included in the Off-Camera Flash system is also the renowned B1 and the patented AirTTL system. All of the components are interchangeable and designed to work together.
