Governor General to Close the 2015 Canada Winter Games and Visit Haida Gwaii
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/27/15 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will undertake a visit to Northern British Columbia, from March 1 to 3, 2015, during which he will take part in the closing ceremony of the 2015 Canada Winter Games and meet with members of Haida Gwaii communities.
"As we begin the Year of Sport, I am looking forward to celebrating the efforts, accomplishments and sportsmanship of athletes and volunteers at the 2015 Canada Winter Games," said His Excellency. "I am also eager to meet with residents of Northern British Columbia, including at the University of Northern British Columbia and several Haida First Nation communities in Haida Gwaii."
