Developer of ZONE Sonography™ Technology Introduces New C9-3sp Intra-Operative Curved Array Transducer
(firmenpresse) - Vienna, Austria – March 2015 - ZONARE, a developer of next generation ultrasound technology, is featuring its Z.One PRO and ZS3 ultrasound systems at the annual European Congress of Radiology (ECR) meeting being held in Vienna, March 4 – 8, 2015.
The company also is introducing the new C9-3sp intra-operative curved array transducer available for the ZS3 system.
“ZONE Sonography™ Technology is designed to maximize all components of our ultrasound systems,” said Glen McLaughlin, PhD, founder and president of ZONARE. “This includes our transducers like the new C9-3 probe which has multiple applications, such as imaging a diseased liver during surgery. It provides yet another important imaging tool for our clinicians.”
The C9-3sp transducer is the newest addition to the company’s growing family of transducers. Based on ZONARE’s next generation ZONE Sonography Technology (ZST), the lightweight and highly ergonomic transducer design comes with multiple frequencies. It has extremely sensitive color and pulsed wave (PW) Doppler rendering excellent clinical performance especially for intra-operative and interventional procedures, as well as, pediatric and abdominal applications. Secondary clinical uses include small parts, vascular and CEUS (contrast enhanced ultrasound). The C9-3sp transducer is available on the ZS3 system.
“ZONARE has already set expectations high, but the performance of the ZS3 is even higher,” said Josias Mattli, MD, a leading internal medicine professional at Ospidal Val Müstair, Switzerland. “The system offers far more than I ever expected in image performance. It has enormous penetration, especially providing high sensitivity in contrast enhanced ultrasound exams.”
ZONARE will be exhibiting both the Z.One PRO and the ZS3 ultrasound systems at ECR, Booth # 27 Extension Expo A.
