Minister Blaney commends CBSA and RCMP on 60th arrest from the ''Wanted by the CBSA'' list
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/20/15 -- Today, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada''s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, made the following statement after Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the arrest of Kevin Dwight Scott, who was featured on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list and is inadmissible to Canada.
"I would like to commend the CBSA and RCMP on the 60th arrest from the ''Wanted by CBSA'' list. The list has proven, once again, to be a highly effective tool that leads to the apprehension of individuals who threaten the safety and security of Canadians. With this new arrest, our law enforcement agencies have demonstrated their tireless commitment to keeping our communities safe."
To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, 60 individuals have been apprehended in Canada, of which 51 have been removed. Additionally, 17 individuals were located abroad.
