Sotto Sotto Opening its Doors to Public
Restaurant Will Be Open on Weekends Until Renovations Are Complete and Full Service Can Resume
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/18/15 -- After being closed for nearly two months following a devastating fire, Sotto Sotto announced that it will be opening its doors to customers at a new location, just steps from its previous home. The new location, 120 Avenue Road, is a mere two doors north of the original restaurant.
The December 25th fire forced Sotto Sotto to close causing heartbreak to the owners who faithfully served patrons from around the world since 1992.
"This restaurant is our home," said Marisa Rocca, owner of Sotto Sotto. "While this experience brought heartbreak and challenges, our love of food and serving people gave us the strength we needed to get back on our feet, faster and stronger."
Sotto Sotto was opened in 1992 and over time became a second home to thousands of loyal patrons in Toronto and the surrounding areas. It also became a favourite for movie stars, film and TV executives, music industry stars, and athletes from around the globe.
"We saw such incredible support flowing in from our patrons, each extending their love and best wishes to us. They shared their memories of Sotto Sotto with us by letters, phone calls and social media. It is heartwarming to know that even after leaving their table, they remember their experience with us. This is what gave us the extra energy to come back so quickly" said Rocca.
Opening its doors so quickly though, comes at a bit of a cost in the form of some inconvenience. As renovations are ongoing, the restaurant will be open only on weekends until all the renovations are complete. In Rocca''s words, "We would ask that our loyal patrons and guests bear with us through this brief time while we instill the new location with Sotto''s warmth and ambiance."
Due to the extensive damage caused by the fire, Sotto Sotto lost its database of customer contact details. We are working to rebuild that list, and people are encouraged to visit the website and add themselves to this database. In the meantime, reservations can be made at 416-962-0011 or at .
Preparations are underway for the official grand opening of Sotto Sotto. Details on this event will be forthcoming.
