Minister''s Announcement on Mandatory Drug Shortage Reporting a Great Step
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/10/15 -- HealthCareCAN members, Canada''s hospitals and healthcare organizations, applaud today''s announcement by the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Health, that the federal government is advancing regulations that will require drug manufacturers to publicly report drug shortages.
"Medications are a vital part of the health care delivery process," said Bill Tholl, President and CEO. "It''s unacceptable that the health and safety of Canadians could be compromised by not being able to access needed drugs. We must do everything we can to anticipate, manage and avoid essential drug shortages."
