Food labels: EU compliant marking with cablabel software
The new EU regulation 1169/2011 for food labeling has just become effective. Focus is especially set on allergens. The German manufacturer of label printing systems cab supports the food processing industry with its in-house developed cablabel S3 Pro software. There is offered the possibility to determine allergens as key words and assign certain markups to them.
(firmenpresse) - While loading an ingredients list from a data base – Microsoft Access or SQL Server, Oracle, dBase, ODBC connections and others – into a label, ingredients are checked for pre-defined allergens and marked according to the specifications.
Automatic formatting of ingredients
Particularly useful: The entire list of ingredients can be implemented as continuous text in a text module. If a certain row width is assigned to the label, cablabel S3 Pro adjusts the list automatically – including syllabication. To use this feature cablabel S3 Pro version 1.0.3.0 or newer is needed.
Applicable to all cab devices
cablabel S3 Pro is designed to accommodate with the entire cab printers series. Smart print control evaluates both output device and resolution and allocates the appropriate data. Hans Loehner, cab Sales Engineer Software Solutions, states: “To tap any food labeling system’s full potential, printer and software have to be synchronic“.
