EnterpriseDB Brings Its Postgres Cloud Database to the AWS GovCloud (US) Region
(firmenpresse) - BEDFORD, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/06/15 -- (EDB), a leading worldwide provider of enterprise-class Postgres products and database compatibility solutions, today announced that its cloud database products were certified for use on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud (US) Region. Clearing this hurdle expands access to the cloud for government agencies, which have aggressively deployed Postgres to meet open source and cost savings goals.
AWS GovCloud (US) is an AWS Region in the U.S. that is designed to meet the higher regulatory, security and compliance requirements of government agencies and has been certified to support sensitive workloads. EDB has now been cleared to offer government agencies access to two new solutions in the AWS Cloud.

More than 50 federal agencies depend on EDB and Postgres, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of Labor and multiple agencies throughout the Department of Defense (DoD).
