ABcann Medicinals Inc. Begins Cultivation of Standardized Medical Cannabis With Leading Edge Technology and Third-Party Validation
(firmenpresse) - NAPANEE, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/04/15 -- ABcann Medicinals Inc., a licensed producer under the new Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, has begun cultivation and looks forward to a promising year as we keep our focus on the systems that deliver fully standardized and validated medical grade cannabis to Canadian patients.
The core of our technology is based on proprietary, computer-controlled growth chambers. Using industry leading technology within our state-of-the-art growth chambers, ABcann has developed a fully repeatable growth process. Each aspect of the plant life is computer controlled to replicate the natural ecosystem in any environment home to the genetic strain being grown. This control allows the same results in each strain from batch to batch.
"Our growth chambers are the largest ever built and are able to record and repeat any climate in the world," says Michael Hofmann, Chief Horticulturalist at ABcann. "The technology used throughout our facility ensures that every step of the way, nothing is able to contaminate or disrupt the complete standardization of our cannabis," explains Hofmann when describing the "air" showers taken when a staff member walks through a connecting portion of the facility. These air showers are created by an Ozone Generator, a purification system used by NASA for sterilization.
ABcann has also entered into an exclusive partnership with Tru-ID, a company that "protects clients and customers from mislabelled or contaminated ingredients through DNA verification testing," to validate the authenticity of our medical cannabis. With this partnership, Canadian medical cannabis patients can have greater confidence that each product received from ABcann is truly a pure and standardized product because it has a Tru-ID Certificate of Authenticity attached to each strain.
The team at ABcann is excited to see the standardization process move forward in the coming weeks. Product availability and registration dates are still yet to be determined; however patients are able to sign-up on the website for further updates.
