Community Notice: The Band of the Governor General''s Foot Guards Plays at Canadian War Museum
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ON -- (Marketwired) -- 02/04/15 -- The Band of the Governor General''s Foot Guards will be performing at their upcoming Family Concert, taking place Sunday February 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian War Museum.
The Band of the Governor General''s Foot Guards, Regimental Band of the oldest reserve infantry units in Canada, is proud to present its annual concert at the Canadian War Museum. This year Lieutenant-Colonel Chilton-Mackay, Musical Director for the Regiment, has chosen a wide repertoire for families to enjoy. The band will play a variety of musical medleys, including selections from the well-known animated Disney-movie "Frozen". Children are invited to dress as their favourite character from the film and are welcome to come up to sing with the band in a children''s choir. Afterwards there will be a basic military drill workshop for all children who wish to participate in the grand finale.
The concert is fun for all ages, and is free with museum admission.
