Passport Premiere Detects Widespread Business Class Fare Sales
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 01/22/15 -- has detected widespread business class fare sales in response to overstated fare levels. Business class buying events are currently in effect to Asia, Africa and Australia. Fare corrections happen when carriers overestimate the value of their unsold inventory and slash fares to avoid empty business class cabins.
Emirates and Qatar Airways are aggressively discounting business class fares from several North American gateways to destinations worldwide. For example, Emirates slashed round trip business class fares between Chicago and Johannesburg from $5,500 + taxes to just $3,000 + taxes. Qatar Airways has launched between Washington and India from just $2,850 round trip + taxes.
Delta Airlines, Qantas, United and V Australia have all reduced their lowest business class fares between Los Angeles and Australia to $4,950 round trip + taxes. Business class fares to Australia in 2015 are nearly 35% lower compared with the time last year when round trip premium cabin fares at $7,600 + taxes. The Australia buying events are projected to be withdrawn on January 28th, 2015 are applicable for departures through November 30th, 2015.
Business class fares between the U.S. to Europe are currently elevated after a period of record setting discounts. From September through mid-November, Skyteam engaged One World in a premium cabin fare war targeting European hubs (London and Madrid). One World fought back by slashing business class fares to Skyteam''s European hubs (Amsterdam, Paris, & Rome). By mid-November, round trip business class fares to London plummeted to just $550 + taxes from several U.S. cities. With declining oil prices, a repeat performance is possible later in 2015.

Subscribers are first in line to capture downward fare moves when fare change happens. International premium class travelers seeking to reduce their travel costs can register by visiting the website or can learn more by watching a short video . Current trends suggest additional buying events are likely to be launched in the weeks ahead.
