DigitalTown Begins Webpage Sponsors on Its Domain Portfolio
(firmenpresse) - MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 01/21/15 -- DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCQB: DGTW) today announced that webpage page sponsors may now register as individual or company sponsors on DigitalTown 20,000 plus community domain name portfolio. New lease terms went into effect January 11, 2015 that allow sponsors to reserve the right to be the official webpage page sponsor for as little of as $15 a month. High Schools still may lease the domain and pick a sponsor or have DigitalTown assign a sponsor.
With the beta launch on November 19, 2014, requests for sponsored leases were to start in the spring of 2015 but have been moved to start immediately. We project that over a 24 month period more than 50% of DigitalTown sports domains will have sponsor leases that allow high schools and Athletic Directors to have free access to the domains for Google Apps and other EDU and non-profit use.
Discussions are underway with various groups that include real estate companies, auto dealerships and insurance agents at both the local and national level.
(The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association) member schools still have first right of use over non-members till March 1, 2015. Full terms are listed in the owner terms and conditions information.
