A legendary manager, Joe Torre was recently named Chief Baseball Officer for Major League Baseball, overseeing major league operations, on-field operations, on-field discipline, and umpiring. After a 17-year playing career, Torre made his managerial debut with the New York Mets in May 1977. After leaving the Mets and stints with Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals, he spent twelve seasons as the manager of the New York Yankees from 1996 to 2007, guiding them to six World Series appearances and four World Championships.
Torre ranks fifth in all-time managerial wins, with 2,326 over his career. He is also the author of three books and the co-founder of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, which he launched with his wife Ali in 2002.
Torre will give Ticket Summit''s main keynote on Friday, July 17 and attend the conference''s closing party to meet attendees. Torre will also speak at a private dinner for TicketNetwork''s best clients on the evening of Thursday, July 16.
