Broward County Residents and Business Go Solar With FPL Rebate and Florida Solar One

Florida Power and Light (FPL) has announced that it will once again offer solar rebates to their residential and business customers for grid-tied solar systems installed in 2015. Home owners can earn up to $20,000 and business owners can earn up to $50,000 for one business location, or up to $150,000 for multiple locations.
The rebate was quietly announced about a month ago, giving residential and commercial FPL customers very little time to find a quality solar contractor and get the materials needed to even apply for the rebate. Even with the extremely short time frame, the market has responded with an overwhelming response -- They want solar and they want it now!
The solar rebates are first come, first serve, and usually go very fast. It is estimated that the 2015 rebates could be reserved in a matter of minutes. In just the last couple of weeks, Florida Solar One has worked on countless commercial and residential solar designs and plans in order to assist FPL customers obtain the solar rebate and be prepared for the rebate application.
The online application for solar rebates opens at 8:30 am on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, and Florida Solar One is actually guaranteeing reservations for rebates for commercial and residential solar customers who enter into agreements with them. This is a simple way for clients to guarantee their place in line for up to $150,000 in solar rebate dollars.
