Value Partners Investments Inc. Announces Change to VPI Canadian Equity Pool
(firmenpresse) - WINNIPEG, MANITOBA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/05/15 -- Value Partners Investments Inc. (VPI), the investment fund manager of VPI Canadian Equity Pool (the Pool), announced today that it has assumed responsibilities as the portfolio manager of the Pool.
David Atkins, CFA, will be the individual at VPI responsible for making investment decisions on behalf of the Pool. Mr. Atkins joined VPI on November 24, 2014. Mr. Atkins was formerly employed by Cardinal Capital Management, Inc., the former portfolio manager for the Pool, and has been involved with managing the assets of the Pool since its inception in 2005. Furthermore, he has been the primary portfolio manager responsible for making investment decisions of the Pool for the past 1 1/2 years. Mr. Atkins brings with him over 15 years of investment management experience and, during that time, has proven his ability to make great investment decisions that are consistent with VPI''s values and beliefs.
