Cara Acquires Majority Ownership Position in Landing Group of Restaurants
(firmenpresse) - VAUGHAN, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/22/14 -- Cara Operations Limited ("Cara" or the "Company") announced today that it acquired a majority ownership position (the "Transaction") in the Landing Group of restaurants ("Landing Group"). The transaction is effective December 18th, 2014. With the addition of the Landing Group, Cara adds to its position as Canada''s largest full-service restaurant company with iconic brands that deliver unique dining experiences for Canadians.
The Landing Group is a Southern Ontario based, high-volume, upscale casual restaurant concept. Its business includes lunch, dinner and late night and the restaurants have an exciting bar-restaurant atmosphere with unique indoor/outdoor configurations. There are currently three market-leading restaurants in the Landing Group; Williams Landing, which is located at Liberty Village in Toronto, Hunters Landing, which is located at Concord CityPlace, Toronto, and Harpers Landing, which is located in Oakville, Ontario. Mr. Steve Pelton, one of the co-founders of the Landing Group, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Landing Group and will lead the future growth and expansion of the Landing restaurant concept.
