There were 55 cities with unemployment, sex offenders and foreclosure inventory below the national averages along with an average school score above the national average and a crime rating of B or above.
20 out of the 55 cities had a crime rating of A or above.
Crime rates were one-third of the national average.
School scores in these cities were nearly twice the national average.
The average unemployment rate for these cities was 4.6 percent. Well below the national average.
There were 24 foreclosures per every 10,000 housing units.
There was an average of four sex offenders per 10,000 people.
Methodology: Cities with a population of 100,000 or more and with sufficient data (no N/A or errors), less than .0014418 for Sex Offenders, less than 0.057 for unemployment, less than .0067 for Foreclosure Rate, more than .6106 for School Score, crime rating of B or above, ranked by school score from highest to lowest.
There were 20 cities where unemployment, sex offenders, and foreclosure inventory were above the national averages along with school ratings below the national average and a crime rating of C or below.
School scores were one-half the national average.
Crime rates nearly twice the national average.
These cities had an average 7.8 percent unemployment rate.
These cities had 128 foreclosures per every 10,000 housing units.
These cities had an average of 27 sex offenders per 10,000 people.
Methodology: Cities with a population of 100,000 or more and with sufficient data (no N/A or errors), more than .0014418 for Sex Offenders, more than 0.057 for unemployment, more than .0067 for Foreclosure Rate, less than .6106 for School Score, more than 145 for crime rate (same as better than C grade) ranked by school score from lowest to highest.
