William DePond, M.D., to Oversee Labs, Informatics, & IT
(firmenpresse) - WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 12/17/14 -- Medytox Diagnostics, Inc., which owns and operates half a dozen clinical laboratories throughout the U.S., announced today it named William DePond, M.D., CEO of Medytox laboratories. In his role, Dr. DePond will oversee the company''s expanding network of toxicology labs that specialize in drug screening and analysis for substance abuse facilities and the ongoing drug screening required for patients of pain management physicians.
In addition to his operational oversight, Dr. DePond, also COO of Medytox Diagnostics, Inc., will play a key role in identifying additional labs as targets for Medytox Diagnostics'' acquisition and work to upgrade information technology, including the implementation of proprietary software developed by a sister company, Medytox Information & Technology, Inc. Both companies are subsidiaries of Medytox Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: MMMS), a diversified healthcare company that owns and operates lab and health IT companies.
Dr. DePond, a fellowship-trained pathologist with board-certification in multiple fields of pathology, brings a physician''s perspective to Medytox Diagnostics as well as decades of management experience running healthcare delivery companies. Prior to his role at Medytox, he worked on the executive leadership teams of hospital systems, multispecialty physician organizations, long-term care facilities, and another publically traded commercial laboratory company.
