NexGen Financial Corporation Announces Shareholder Approval of Plan of Arrangement
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/17/14 -- NexGen Financial Corporation (TSX VENTURE: NFX) (NexGen) is delighted to announce that at today''s special meeting its shareholders overwhelmingly approved the previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") between a wholly-owned subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management, L.P. and NexGen. The Arrangement was approved by 99.97% of the votes cast by NexGen''s shareholders and 99.96% of the votes cast by NexGen''s shareholders who are not receiving a collateral benefit in connection with the Arrangement. A total of 84.85% of the outstanding common shares of NexGen were voted at the meeting.
Now that the requisite shareholder approvals have been obtained, a final order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice approving the Arrangement will be sought on December 18, 2014. If the final order is obtained, management anticipates that the Arrangement will be completed on or about December 22, 2014, subject to receiving all necessary regulatory approvals.
