Government of Canada provides funding to the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research

The Government of Canada is providing $59,700 in funding to the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research to translate 27 books of its early reading program into Michif-language editions with English translations.
Kelly Block, Member of Parliament (Saskatoon-Rosetown-Biggar), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. This funding is being provided through the Aboriginal Languages Initiative.
