Ametherm Named as Business of the Year for 2014 by Carson City, Nevada, in NNDA Pioneer Awards
(firmenpresse) - CARSON CITY, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 12/10/14 -- Ametherm today announced that the company was honored by Carson City, Nevada, as its Business of the Year for 2014 in the annual Northern Nevada Department Authority (NNDA) Pioneer Awards.
The NNDA is the recognized Economic Development Authority for the Sierra region of Nevada. Each year its Pioneer Awards program recognizes one outstanding business -- based on job creation and positive economic impact -- for each of the five counties the organization represents. This year the major expansion of Ametherm''s manufacturing facility earned the company Carson City''s top mark.
Ametherm has experienced tremendous growth over the last year. In addition to the acquisition of the SURGE-GARD™ line of inrush current limiting thermistors -- as well as a wide range of NTC chip, surface-mount, and disc thermistors -- from Measurement Specialties Inc. (formerly RTI Electronics), the company''s own inrush current limiters and NTC thermistors have experienced 7 % growth. To keep up with demand, Ametherm doubled the size of its manufacturing plant with the purchase of a new 36,000-square-foot facility in Carson City, where the company has manufactured all of its products for the last 20 years.
Brad Bonkowski of NAI Alliance Carson City presented the award to Ametherm president and CEO Eric Rauch and vice president of engineering Mehdi Samii at the annual NNDA Pioneer Awards dinner. The event was held on Nov. 6 at the Carson Nugget Ballroom and featured congressman Mark Amodei as a special guest.
