ActiveState Supports Newly Launched Cloud Foundry Foundation and Joins as a Gold Member
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BC -- (Marketwired) -- 12/09/14 -- ActiveState announces its ongoing support for the newly launched Cloud Foundry Foundation and joins as a Gold member. Cloud Foundry is the industry standard for enterprise Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and today''s announcement ensures that it will maintain this position and expand its lead over competitors. Joining ActiveState in this venture are member companies at platinum, gold, and silver membership levels.
Cloud Foundry is the only open source PaaS project, supported by over fifty backers, whose direction is completely determined by its members. The Foundation is dedicated to the evolution and growth of the Cloud Foundry open source project as well as the ecosystem and community around it. According to Foundation board members, over the past year, the project "has seen a 36% increase in community contributions and nearly 1,700 pull requests" as it continues to grow market share amongst enterprises and mind share amongst analysts.
