Media Advisory: Governor General to Preside Over a Citizenship Ceremony
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/04/14 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will preside over a citizenship ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He will be accompanied by the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, 26th governor general of Canada, and the founder and co-chair of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, and by Canada''s Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Chris Alexander.
Prior to the ceremony, 50 candidates for Canadian citizenship will share their views on citizenship during a round-table discussion. The events are organized in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship.
