Minister Ritz Announces Reappointment to Farm Products Council of Canada

Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced today the reappointment of Michael Pickard and the designation of Vice-Chair of the Farm Products Council of Canada (FPCC). Mr. Pickard''s reappointment to the Council is for a three-year term effective April 30, 2015. Biographical notes are attached.

Biographical Note
Michael Pickard
A resident of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Michael Pickard owns a broiler chicken operation. Formerly, Mr. Pickard also served as a Director with the Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan (2007-13) as well as the Chicken Farmers of Canada (2008-13). While with the Chicken Farmers of Canada, his contributions included serving on its Consumer Relations and Finance Committees. Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, he and his wife Jana have two children.
