Astrophysics Awarded Five Year, $23.1 Million Contract From the Department of Homeland Security
Contract to Provide Astrophysics X-Ray Systems to United States Customs & Border Protection Agency
(firmenpresse) - CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/14 -- ., a leader in conventional and air cargo security X-ray inspection systems, today announced that the company has been awarded a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the Department of Homeland Security, United States Customs & Border Protection (CBP) agency.
CBP can use this contract, with a ceiling of $23.1 million, to provide Astrophysics'' equipment around the world. The contract allows purchasing of small, medium and large X-ray systems, their associated peripherals, training, and warranties in support of CBP''s Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) program.

The XIS-1080 for medium parcel inspection
The XIS 100XDV for large parcel inspection
