Dr. Yung Kim of Upper East Side Dental Arts Has Accomplished Double Board Certification in Periodontics and Prosthodontics, Making Him One of Four Dental Specialists With This Qualification in the U.S.
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/14 -- Upper East Side Dental Arts recently announced that Dr. Yung Kim, a dentist at the practice, has earned board certification in both periodontics and prosthodontics. This qualification distinguishes Dr. Kim from other dental professionals, as he is one of only four specialists in the U.S. to earn the dual certification. The believes his advanced training and education required to become certified in both specialties will enhance the level of care he can provide to his dental patients.
As a periodontist, Dr. Kim works to prevent, diagnose, and treat a variety of oral concerns, including and other problems of the gums and jaw. Having undergone extensive training to be certified, he says he can more effectively repair the function of structures supporting the teeth. At the practice, Dr. Kim performs such periodontal procedures as placing , performing regenerative therapy, and executing periodontal plastic surgery.
In addition to treating hard and soft tissues supporting the teeth, Dr. Kim is also qualified to perform restorative procedures to replace damaged or missing teeth. This includes placing crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implant restorations. Through his certification with The American Board of Prosthodontics, Dr. Kim is committed to upholding the highest standards and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in prosthodontics.

received his undergrad from SUNY Stony Brook University, and he earned his Dental Degree from the university''s School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kim then trained in a general practice residency at Nassau University Medical Center. After completion of his residency, he continued to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, graduating from the Periodontics and Prosthodontics Program with his Master''s Degree in Dental Science.
