New Series Includes Internal/External Versions With up to 6Gbps Transfer Rates
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/02/14 -- Addonics Technologies () today announced the Addonics UDD25, a family of four reader/writers for 2.5-inch HDD / SSD, M2 card, mSATA SSD, CFast card or CF cards. The series provides fast data transfer rates of up to 6 Gbps in both internal and portable versions, including write-protected models that support read only.
The portable Addonics Pocket UDD25 and Addonics Internal UDD25 can Read/Write to 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD or storage media with same dimension and connectors of a standard 2.5" SATA HDD. The Internal UDD25 is designed to mount directly into a standard 3.5-inch drive bay. Both models can connect to any system via a SATA or USB 3.0 / 2.0 port.
The portable Pocket Read Only UDD25 and the Internal Read Only UDD25 have the same functions and media flexibility with the added ability to block write commands. The Write Protect feature ensures absolute protection to the storage media from virus contamination or data tampering. It is a great tool for sharing drives containing important data among different users or for forensic applications. The Read Only models essentially treat any hard drive or SSD as read only storage similar to optical media. Both models connect to any system via USB 3.0/2.0 port
All Addonics UDD25 solutions support up to 6 Gbps data transfer rates when connected to eSATA 3.0 port, or up to 5 Gbps with USB 3.0 connection. The Addonics UDD25 is complete Plug and Play with no software drivers to install. Media is hot swappable and can be used as a boot device (for CF cards, it may need to be fixed disk type depending on the OS). The series is compatible with any OS that supports SATA or USB mass storage device.
