Qseven and COM Express modules from MSC Technologies with extended availability support
(PresseBox) - 11.2014 - MSC Technologies, a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, a business region of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), is committed to extend the availability support for its Qseven? and COM Express? module families based on the Intel® Atom? E3800 (previously code named "Bay Trail"). MSC Technologies will support a 10-year lifecycle for these Computer-On-Modules (COMs) from the date of product introduction until the end of 2023.
The extended availability of the powerful embedded modules from MSC Technologies is particularly important for OEM customers producing long-lifetime industrial goods. Affected industrial sectors are primarily the medical, transportation and automation areas.
