Cologne, 19.11.2014 Boat owners see their crafts on rare occasions. In most cases, the berth is far from the owner's home. The app "Companion for Boats" by FRJSH now makes it possible to see the boat's position live on your tablet or PC. The software advises when the owner-defined conditions are altered in any way. Unlike other applications, this software has been developed specifically for mobile devices.
(firmenpresse) - Boat owners must often moor their craft far from their home. Companion for Boats reports on the boat live via a tablet or PC. Simply download the app onto a tablet or smartphone, install and activate a cell phone on the boat. The boat is then under constant watch as it the rocks away at its mooring. Automatic messages indicate whether it leaves the berth, is exposed to heavy impact against the quay wall, or exactly the boat is heading. As an additional practical function, the real-time position of the boat can be posted directly on Facebook or in other social networks during a cruise.
Hassan Aftabruyan, Managing Director of FRJSH GmbH, explains: "Boat owners love their boats and each cruise is a highlight. We offer an easy and low-cost way for an owner to be close to their boat. Especially when chartering the craft, one would like to have the assurance that it will be dealt with care. For us, tracking is simply part of modern sailing. We offer a complete service at acceptable rates for private users via components already in use; tablets or smartphones."
For Rainer Basten, a co-founder of FRJSH, passionate sailor and Chairman of the Hochheim Sailing Club, the service is the fulfilment of a dream. "My sailing friends repeatedly report that they cannot check up on their boats often enough. The berth is too far away. You would not leave your car unattended for months. With the Companion, you have the feeling of being very close to the boat. And when you sail, the itinerary can be posted on Facebook or your own website."
