The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, spoke today at the 2014 Canadian Aerospace Summit, in Ottawa, where she highlighted the Harper Government''s efforts to support job creation, economic growth and innovation in the Canadian aerospace industry.
Minister Finley updated representatives, from leading aerospace and defence companies, on the government''s progress in implementing the Defence Procurement Strategy, the most significant shift in defence procurement in the last 30 years. The Minister also reiterated the Harper Government''s commitment to working with industry to ensure that its purchases of defence equipment benefit all Canadians, by encouraging research and development, innovation, job creation and economic growth.
