INSIGHT Wins Green Supply Chain Award
Global CPG Client Saves 14,000 Tons of CO2 Annually

This is INSIGHT''s 3rd consecutive win of this prestigious award honoring the companies who enforce green practices as a core function of their operations. INSIGHT was chosen for its supply chain network design project with a global juice producer that reduced carbon emissions, lowered operating costs, and improved efficiencies.

The global CPG utilized INSIGHT''s SAILS for supply chain network design to determine the best location for new manufacturing and distribution centers, as well which customers would be serviced by these new facilities, while reducing delivery mileage and lowering carbon emissions. The selected design reduced the miles for delivery by 4.5 million miles, resulting in a savings of 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. The company also saved 10 percent of shipping costs by combining and reducing the number of shipments and distance travelled.
